IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL…
Rinse is seeking a versatile and experienced HR Manager to oversee and manage a range of key functions within our HR team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, implement, and lead HR initiatives and programs that drive the success of our broader HR strategy. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our teams across all locations and employee groups, contributing significantly to Rinse’s next phase of growth. This position reports directly to the Director of HR and People Operations.
ON A DAILY BASIS YOU WILL…
- Lead a small team (1-3) of HR Associates, managing their performance and career growth
- Lead recruiting, on/off-boarding, and performance tooling for our non-exempt employee group
- Support administration of our HR tech stack (Trinet, ADP, Gsuite, Slack, Asana, Lattice)
- Lead Workers Comp administration and coordination with cross functional partners
- Partner cross functionally on HRBP projects across all employee groups
- Support ERBP functions within our non-exempt employee group
- Partner with Senior leadership to advise on policy design, decision making, and implementation
AS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU HAVE/ARE…
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in HR/People roles
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in HR roles (eg HR Generalist, HR Manager, HRBP, ERBP)
- Experience functioning in an ambiguous role at a startup
- Significant experience supporting teams with large hourly/non-exempt employee populations
- Proficiency in navigating federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance regulations, with a particular focus on California-specific requirements, including wage and hour laws, employee classifications, and workplace policies.
- Experience with Workers Comp and OSHA compliance program management
- Understanding of multi-state payroll functions for an hourly/non-exempt employee populations
- Highly-organized and always looking to optimize processes
- Metrics-driven, comfortable with reports and data
- Comfortable with technology
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Bonus points for HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP and/or PHR/PHRca
